Pick One Thing, Go Deep for 30 Days, and Watch Your Life Level Up

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready…

Simple advice on patterns, courage, and finishing what you start.

Hey friend,

Welcome back. Wherever you are right now, take one slow breath and arrive. Today we look at what is real.

Run your beliefs through the filter

Pick one belief you carry. Ask three questions. Is it true? Is it helping? Is it sustainable? Honest answers open doors. Rumi said, “What you seek is seeking you.”

Then scan your life: social, family, creative, career, financial, physical. Choose what to lessen, what to increase, what to release, and what to begin. Change stings a little at first, like a new muscle waking up. Run toward it. Running toward change hands you the steering wheel.

Start with the body

Your body is the one place where your command is total. Lift, bend, twist, twirl. Beat yesterday by one percent. Blood flows to the brain, neural connections fire, and a clear mind arrives. Will Durant wrote, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is a habit.”

Walk through your edge

Before Roger Bannister, the world treated the four minute mile as a fantasy. Then he ran it, and others followed within months. Belief moves when proof arrives. Raise your bar, raise your floor, and keep turning the dial.

Pick one

Options feel like freedom, yet options gain value through action. Choose a single path and give it thirty days. Raise the intensity daily. Find the top ten percent of what works, double down on it, and filter again. Track everything with SMART goals: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time bound. Twenty minutes, one hundred push ups, done.

Collect your data

Every mistake is information that narrows your path. Success with understanding repeats itself, while accidental success stays a mystery. The proverb says, “Fall seven times, stand up eight.” Marcus Aurelius adds, “What stands in the way becomes the way.”

Fill your cup, then give

Love yourself first and forgive yourself freely. Those old beliefs about falling short arrived when you were small, and you hold the pen to rewrite them. You are enough, and more. Then give your gift to the world. People are the doorways of the universe, so call a friend today, or speak with your partner as if meeting them for the first time.

The hard choice now

Choose the hard choice now, and an easy life arrives later. Nietzsche gave us this: “He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.” Picture who you become, feel it in your body, and let your mind’s eye rehearse it.

Above all, finish what you start. Finish the drawing. Finish the flower. Finish the dish.

  2. Commit for 30 days.
  3. Track it daily.

Carry this into tomorrow morning

The practice in this post lives in an app we built, Hold Until Sunrise. Your alarm becomes a moment of stillness. You hold your phone, rest with one affirmation, and let the sunrise welcome you into the day. Begin tomorrow gently and on your own terms. Find it on the App Store here.
